Vliho Yacht Club opened its doors in 2003 attracting sailors, an international community of local residents and holiday-makers to relax in a real home-from-home atmosphere and enjoy the beautiful Vliho bay all year round.
At the heart of it all is Vliho’s restaurant, which serves a mouthwatering Mediterranean menu and irresistible daily specials created from local seasonal ingredients. The round open-air bar overlooking Vliho Bay is a great place to meet, share stories, swop info, kick back and watch the world go by.
Making the most of our great location, we also organize events for our guests. Our regular Quiz Nights, themed parties and the Quiz On Wheels exploring Lefkas are not to be missed!

The club is in the perfect location with our large outdoor space overlooking the bay, welcoming comfortable indoor bar and experienced attentive staff, there's no better place for your gathering. We use a range of high quality suppliers which allow us to create food and drink menus tailor made for your event, ensuring plates are left empty and glasses refilled. Have a favourite drink? We love creating themed cocktails to match a party! Whatever the occasion we're happy to liaise with you throughout the planning process to make certain everything is just as you want it to be and your event is a stress free success. The fun doesn't have to stop there! If it's a get together onboard a yacht you're planning, let us take care of the catering so you can focus on the merry making. Lefkada (or Lefkas) island is situated right in the heart of the beautiful Ionian. You don’t have to be here long to realise why this place has people returning year after year. Setting sail from our base here in Vliho, you can pick almost any point on a compass, directing you to one of the many stunning destinations the area has to offer. Whether it’s a quayside mooring in a local village you’re aiming for, or sailing towards the complete bliss of anchoring in a secluded bay, the choice of destinations to explore here is endless, and with so many islands just a short distance away, you never have to visit the same place twice.
New to the area? Our team can recommend lots of good anchorage spots, quiet bays to avoid any crowds, where to sample the finest local cuisine and even the locations best known for spotting the local sea life including turtles, Mediterranean monk seals and various species of dolphins.
Not Just Great For Sailing...
The island has so much more to offer than just great sailing conditions. The mountainous backdrops and hidden valleys provide us with miles of hiking and biking trails, ideal to get amongst the trees and shade from the heat of the summer sun. Vasiliki bay on the south of the island is also one of the most popular windsurf locations in the world, with its prominent afternoon winds that also provide great dinghy sailing conditions for those with a bit of experience. Looking for an activity to mark a special occasion? Why not paraglide from the top of the island?! If however it’s something a little more relaxing you’re after, why not visit some of the world famous award winning beaches on the west coast of the island, breathtakingly blue sees and dramatic rock faces, the west coast feels like a completely different island altogether.
