It has been beautifully constructed using wooden beams, local natural stone and ecologically friendly paints. The stone was taken from the ground during excavations of the foundations and handcrafted to construct the thick walls. The structure, using half-timber frame and half stone, follows the old traditional Lefkadian style and is a superb achievement. The house has wooden floors, beams and pillars, hidden alcoves and rooms, and a cellar that adds to its charm.
GROUND FLOOR: Main entrance into an open plan living/dining area with a working fireplace, and 3 sets of French windows that open onto terrace and lawns, and a separate door onto a patio. A well-appointed kitchen with a big gas stove and all the cooking facilities:
FIRST FLOOR: 2 double bedrooms both with bathrooms with showers and French windows, one onto a balcony, and the other onto the rear terrace. 2 single bedrooms becoming double. 1 family bathroom with shower.

All keys and gate passes are left on the living room table and unit is left locked.
All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure, including extra cleaning charge.
No linens, kitchen ware are lost or damaged.
No early arrival or late departure.
The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or the local law enforcement.
In the event of damages and after estimate, those will be deducted from your guarantee. The possible surplus will be charged to you.

Melivaro is a large house of traditional architecture and construction, located in the mountain on the west coast of the island, above the village of Tsoukalades. It is 700m from the village for essential groceries (very well appointed minimarket) and taverns, less than 5 minutes drivefrom the beautiful Pefkoulia beach, and 10 minutes from the picturesque fishing village of Aghios Nikitas and from the living Lefkada town.
Beautiful gardens, terraces and an aromatic garden surround the house. Its location offers the most beautiful Lefkadian sunsets, and gorgeous views from every part of the house that overlooks rural hills to the sea beyond, to the Ionian sea, Paxos, Corfu, and the Amvrachikos gulf. It is a perfect starting point for the island discovery.
