The cottage, located on a hill within an olive grove, has a view of Lefkada city, the lagoon and the beaches of Gyra and Μili. It is built in the traditional country style with wood and stone. It is 2.5 km. from the village of Tsoukalades, 3.5 km from Ai Giannis beach, 5 km. from the town of Lefkada, and 6 km from Pefkoulia beach close to Agios Nikitas.
The space
It can accommodate up to 4 guests, preferably 2 adults and 2 children. It has 1 main bedroom with a double bed and a fire place, 1 living room with 2 single beds that are also being used as sofas, a big table that can be used as a dinning table and a smaller one for extra use. The main bedroom has a wall made of natural rock. The bathroom has a shower and it is inside the main bedroom. There is a small kitchen equipped with all the necessary appliances like coffee machine, espresso machine, electric oven with 4 element glass ceramic cooktop, kitchen utensils, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, juicer and refrigerator. The living room has also an air condition unit and a roof fan and the main bedroom has another roof fan. There is also a small TV set and a music stereo in the living room.
Right next to the house there is a small storage room where you can have access to the washing machine and to the ironing board. Also in the storage room there is a small dishwasher easily accessed from the kitchen through a window.Towels, linens, blankets, toilet paper, shampoo, hand/body soap and hair dryer are provided. There is also free high speed WiFi internet in all areas.
Outdoor area
The outdoor area is spacious and offers great view to the sea and to the nature. There are many olive trees and pine trees around so the wind chill that comes from the mountains is always fresh and cool. The yard has a sitting area made of concrete and a smaller table with wooden chairs. There is also a traditional oven and a barbecue as well as plenty of parking space for your car.
There are a total of 2 houses on the property, the Olive Grove Cottage which is the guest house, as well as a two-storey house which is the main house of the property. The main house is in a distance from Olive Grove Cottage and that's where I live. In case you need something during your stay, I will be available to assist you anytime keeping a safe distance and respecting your own privacy.
Arrival time in Lefkada and check in
Please remember to mention the time of your arrival in Lefkada to make the proper arrangements for your check in. Keys will be in your door upon your arrival in the property.
Heating
The house is also perfect for winter accommodation. It has electrical convectors by Nobo, an Air-Condition inverter by Daikin and a bathroom fan heater. There is also a working fire place and a wood stove.
Long term winter stays
For long term stays (more than 28 nights) there is a special discount on price per night. The price includes heating by electricity, hot water, WiFi and wood supply for the first 7 days. Wood delivery on request can be arranged for a minimum of 1/2 tonne quantity of wood which costs approximately €80-100. Please enquire with me for more info.
Cleaning
During a long term stay it is recommended to apply a professional cleaning in the apartment at least 1 or 2 times per month. This can be arranged with the cleaning lady. Enquire with me for more info.

The Olive Grove Cottage is located in a magnificent olive grove, in a stunning location surrounded by a pine forest above the hill of the Monastery of Faneromeni and the village of Fryni. It offers excellent views of the sea and the lagoon, the city of Lefkada and the beaches of Gyra and Mylli in Agios Ioannis. The location is very quite and you can always listen to the sounds of nature. There are ony 2 houses in the neighborhood in a distance from the cottage. The garden is ideal for the children where they can play in a safe environment. It is also very close to the town of Lefkada to make your walks or to shop for the necessities.
How to come
Access to and from the cottage is relatively easy. The main road connecting Lefkada with the western side of the island is 300 meters from the cottage and bus also runs. If you come from Frini village or the city of Lefkada then you will have to turn left. If you come from the Monastery of Faneromeni or Agios Nikitas then you will have to turn right. The road leading to the cottage is uphill and requires little attention, especially when you leave from the property. It is a dirt road but it is also narrow and has limited visibility at the point that joins the main road. For better convenience a hired car or a motorbike are recommendable. Access to the best beaches of the island is easy by car or motorbike.

Εξαιρετική η διαμονή μας από κάθε άποψη. Στο πανέμορφο "Olive Grove Cottage" μείναμε για δέκα ημέρες τον Ιούλιο. Όλα ήταν υπέροχα. Το οίκημα, ο περιβάλλων χώρος, η απόλυτη ηρεμία και ησυχία που επικρατεί, καθώς και η οικογένεια των οικοδεσποτών του, οι κ.κ. Νίκος & Ανδρέας Θερμός. Ενδείκνυται απολύτως για ένα ζευγάρι, κάθε ηλικίας, που επιθυμούν να είναι εντελώς μεμονωμένοι από την τουριστική κοσμοσυρροή, αλλά παράλληλα δίπλα τόσο στην όμορφη πόλη της Λευκάδας, καθώς και στις καλύτερες παραλίες του νησιού στην δυτική του πλευρά, όπως το "Κάθισμα", ο "Αγ.Γιάννης", ο "Αγ. Νικήτας" κ.α. Επίσης και για την όμορφη ορεινή ενδοχώρα του νησιού, με πολύ καλές διαδρομές και χωριά που πρέπει κάποιος να επισκεφθεί οπωσδήποτε, παράλληλα με τις θαλασσινές του δραστηριότητες. Απαραίτητη θεωρείται η χρήση αυτοκινήτου. Σημειώστε πως ο χώρος διαθέτει όλα όσα απαιτούνται για μία άνετη και πλήρη διαμονή και μάλιστα θα έλεγα σε υπερθετικό βαθμό για διακοπές μερικών ημερών. Πιστεύω πως οι δέκα ημέρες που μείναμε με την σύζυγό μου είναι το ελάχιστο διάστημα που θα προτιμούσαμε, αλλά δυστυχώς δεν υπήρχε περαιτέρω διαθεσιμότητα. Εν ολίγοις πρόκειται για χώρο που δικαιολογεί απολύτως την περιγραφή του ιδιοκτήτη, καθώς και την τιμή του. Είμαστε σίγουροι πως, συνεργούντως του Θεού, θα κάνουμε ξανά διακοπές στο ίδιο μέρος. Θερμούς χαιρετισμούς και ευχαριστίες για τις εξαιρετικές βιολογικές ντομάτες του κήπου !!! Αντώνης & Κατερίνα.

We really enjoyed our stay at Andreas beautiful cottage above Lefkada Town. It was perfectly clean, very cosy and well equipped. Its a fantastic place to relax with an amazing view and perfectly located for day trips.

Lovely place to spend a few days (or more) exploring Lefkada. It is out of town, but only minutes by car, and that's exactly what we wanted. The stars, the atmosphere, and the location were delightful. The cottage is quaint and cozy for a couple or a couple with a child or two.
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, everything was fine! Andreas was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The size of the cottage is perfect for two but it is still no problem with four people. And there is the outdoor area, which also can be used and where you have a wonderful view. The location of the cottage is ideal.
