Our Yoga classes:
Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is an old system which includes the practice of yoga postures (asana) and breathing exercises (pranayama) which can also help prepare the body for meditation. The pace of the class is quite slow and will involve holding various postures for a certain amount of breaths, but may also include some fluid movement during the practice.
Flow Yoga
Flow Yoga links the movements with the breath. It’s one of the most popular styles of yoga and is called ‘flow’ because of the smooth way the poses run together. In this dynamic practice attention is focused on the journey and transitions between the various postures (vinyasa). Through the use of creative sequencing, the posture becomes better aligned which leads to improved stamina, strength and flexibility.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is a type of yoga known for its relaxing, calming and healing effect. As well as being popular with people who may be recovering from an illness or injury, restorative yoga is considered an ideal anecdote for hectic and stressful modern lifestyles. This mat based practise involves the use of props such as bolsters, blocks and straps. Spending a long time in each posture allows the muscles to relax deeply promoting calmness and recovery.
Technique classes
Technique classes focus on how to advance your practice by paying attention in great detail to alignment and posture. One goal of these classes is to enable you to attain confidence when continuing and progressing your own practice when you return home after your holiday. This makes the benefits of the Healthy Options technique classes last long after your holiday with us has become a warm memory.
Technique classes are offered at both beginner and improver/intermediate level.
Yoga Nidra
This calming and rejuvenating class is held at the end of each day and will help you unwind. Yoga Nidra is a form of subconscious relaxation and encourages a state of mind between sleep and wakefulness. This 30-minute class involves lying down with the use of props in complete stillness whilst listening to the instructor guide you through a meditation. It’s said that half an hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to four hours of deep sleep!

Our Pilates classes:
Pilates
The five basic principles of Pilates are; breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular movement and stabilisation and head and neck placement. This mat based class will help you develop core muscles and stability and has been proven to be an excellent form of exercise for improving posture and inner strength.
Our Pilates teachers offer mat-based classes that are suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to those looking to further their practice.
Somatic Movement
Somatics is a movement study which emphasises internal physical perception. This allows you to develop a better awareness of your physical movement and learn to relax tight muscles to disperse tension and restore function.
Yamuna Body Rolling
Yamuna body rolling is not described as exercise, but movement. It helps get rid of aches and pains and restores a natural balanced posture. This is the successor to foam rolling, working to realign the body through self massage by sinking into the differently textured balls to elongate the muscles and increase the range of motion around the joints.
Our finess classes:
Body Sculpt
Body Sculpt is the ultimate class designed to strengthen and tone each and every muscle, head to toe. Body Sculpt uses equipment, including a variety of dumbbells, bodyweight exercises and Swiss balls . The upbeat rhythm of the music maximises the fun as well as the challenge!
